IOL HAT Use Case: How Uzin Utz North America Measures Shrinkage with the IOL-HAT

How do you check whether a freshly poured floor leveling compound shrinks or expands, without standing next to it for days?

That is exactly what our new use case with Uzin Utz North America shows. The flooring-materials manufacturer uses the IOL-HAT and an IO-Link laser sensor to capture the length change of self-leveling compounds continuously, over several days and unattended, complementary to ASTM C490.

The advantage over the classical method: the measurement starts while the material is still fresh, captures even short-lived peak values, and runs on its own. No manual readings, but precise and reliable data from the specimen to the Raspberry Pi.

A example of how standard IO-Link and the IOL-HAT bring industrial measurement into the lab and quality assurance.
